Day 1, Lima, Peru:
Upon your
evening arrival into the Jorge Chavez International
Airport in Lima, you will be met by our guide who
will assist you with your luggage. Our chauffeur and guide will escort you for
the 35 minutes across the city to the the
upscale suburb of Miraflores.
Miraflores is one of the most exclusive residential
and commercial districts of Lima and represents an eclectic mix of the modern
and the historic.
Peru's capital is one of the most interesting cities
in South America - a potent mix of colonial
architecture, superb museums, Inca gold and
antiquities, and glamorous shops. |

The Miraflores Park Hotel is located in the Malécon
de la Reserva, in an exclusive residential area.
The Miraflores Park Hotel, with its 82 rooms, is a
small boutique hotel, set in a park on the edge of a
cliff overlooking the sea and affording almost all
of the rooms with stunning sea views. The
hotel provides easy access for all that's best about
the city and is renowned for its setting beside the
Pacific Ocean. |

Day 2, Lima:
Breakfast included
This
morning you will have time to relax, enjoy breakfast
and luxuriate in the hotel's spa facilities. Our
guide will pick you up from the Miraflores Park
Hotel in the early afternoon for a tour
of "The City of Kings". We will visit the Plaza
Mayor (Main Square), founded in 1535 by Francisco
Pizarro, conqueror of Peru, Government Palace, City
Hall, Cathedral and House of 'El Oidor'. Continuing
our tour, we will see other Colonial architectural
jewels, such as Torre Tagle Palace, and Osambela
House. We will drop you off at the hotel in late
afternoon. You will be on your own to dine this
evening in one of the fine restaurants in the hotel
or elsewhere in Miraflores. |

Day 3,
Lima to Cusco:

Our guide
will pick you up from the Miraflores
Park Hotel after breakfast for the transfer to the
airport for the flight to Cusco. Upon your arrival
in Cusco, you will be met by our guide and escorted
to Cusco’s first luxury boutique hotel, reflecting a
privileged mélange of culture and tradition - the
exquisite and colonial La Casona Inkaterra Hotel. A
colonial manor house —perhaps the first Spanish
construction in Cusco built over Inca complex -and
later occupied by the conquistadores of Peru, and
their descendants. Eleven suites surround a
sumptuous courtyard, where the patina of time is
tastefully preserved. Contemporary amenities create
the ambience of comfort and exclusivity enjoyed by
residents in centuries past. You will be on your own
for the remainder of the morning and for lunch (we
recommend a light one) to enjoy the property and to
acclimatize to Cusco's altitude (just over 10,000
feet). If La Casona does not have availability, we
will accommodate you in a Deluxe Room at the
suberp Monasterio Orient Express.
We will
pick you up from the hotel in the early afternoon
for a private tour of Cusco and it's nearby ruins
visiting the Cathedral, Coricancha and Sacsayhuaman fortress with granite zig- zag
walls of precise stonework. We
will drop you off at the hotel in the early evening.
Dinner on your own at the hotel or in one of Cusco's
fine restaurants. |

Day 4,
Sacred Valley of the Incas:

Our guide
and chauffeur will pick you up from the hotel after
breakfast for the short drive to
Chincheros and
on to Maras and Moray or visit the Pisac market as an option (market on Sundays,
Tuesdays & Thursdays). You will enjoy lunch in one of
the finest restaurants in the Sacred Valley and have a leisurely afternoon tour to the Incan
ruins of Ollantaytambo. These ruins are perched on the
mountainside high above the valley with a spectacular
view. This evening you will stay at the exclusive
Casa Andina Private Collection in the Sacred Valley.

Day 5, Machu Picchu:
Breakfast & Dinner included
After a
leisurely breakfast, we will pick you up from the
hotel and escort you to the Ollantaytambo train
station to board the exclusive and luxurious Hiram
Bingham train to Machu Picchu. Upon your arrival in
Aguas Calientes, our guide will meet you, ensure the
transfer of your luggage to the Inkaterra Machu
Picchu Hotel and escort you to the bus for the short
drive up the mountainside to the Incan citadel of
Machu Picchu. Our guide will escort you around the
ruins and provide you with detailed information on
this spectacular and world-famous archaeological
site that is one of the seven wonders of the modern
world. After the tour you will have time to wander
around and explore the ruins on your own before
taking the bus back to Aguas Calientes. Dinner in
the hotel's restaurant and overnight in a spacious
Junior Suite at the Inkaterra Machu Picchu Hotel. |

Day 6, Machu Picchu & Cusco:

morning is yours to enjoy the hotel's private
reserve, to soak in the hot springs of Aguas
Calientes or to further explore the ruins of Machu
Picchu. Later in the afternoon the hotel staff will
assist you with carrying your luggage to the train
station for the Hiram Bingham train back to the
Poroy station. The bus will be waiting to take you
back to La Casona
Inkaterra in Cusco. You will have the rest of the
evening to yourselves. |

Day 7, Cusco & Lima:

We will
pick you up from the hotel mid-morning for your
private transfer to the airport and the flight to
Lima. Upon your arrival in Lima, our guide will meet you and drive you to one of
Lima's fine restaurants for lunch. After lunch,
we will visit Lima's famous Larco Museum. Founded in 1926, the Larco Museum showcases
remarkable chronological galleries providing an
excellent overview of 3,000 years of development of
Peruvian pre-Columbian history. Located in a unique
vice-royal mansion of the 18th century built over a
7th century pre-Columbian pyramid, is surrounded by
beautiful gardens. Features the finest gold and
silver collection from Ancient Peru and the famous
erotic archaeological collection, one of the most
visited Peruvian tourist attractions. For an
unforgettable experience, Larco is one of the few
museums in the world where visitors can also choose
to enter the storage area with its 45,000 classified
archaeological objects. Its masterpieces are
considered worldwide icons of Pre-Columbian art,
after being exhibited in the world's leading
museums. We will drop you off at the hotel by
early evening. |
